Welcome to my website. I make handcrafted automata that reflect humour through simple movements, each piece is unique responding with the materials to create a beautifully made original outcome. I am inspired by folk art, and my love of animals. My attention to detail results in delightful work.  I was born in Yorkshire and returned to teach Design Technology. I set up my Hebden Bridge studio in 2010, picking back up my early degree show ideas from the BA Hons in Wood, Metal, Ceramics at Manchester Metropolitan University . When not making automata, I enjoy knitting, making marmalade, and biking in the Pennine landscape. What I am currently working on can be seen on my Instagram account.
