2026 New work commissioned by Cabaret Mechanical Theatre. I have made a lovely Owl and Pussy Cat automata that will be part of an exhibition called Making Waves at Aberdeen Art Gallery from May - Oct 2026 . It has been creatively refreshing to make a new piece and get such fantastic feedback and interest in this automata. You can follow its making progress on my instagram and see it working here

The Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly gets a full restoration.
Sat on a high dusty shelf in my studio was the first automata I made. In 1986 while at college we were set an automata brief. I was instantly captured by this project which was the starting point of me being an automata maker. Forty years later her belts were perished, parts broken and wood faded and dry. Having got down to be part of Elenas recent film it couldn’t remain neglected any longer. Max at CMT suggested what belts I could use so I ordered some and got to work.
