A nostalgic automata from when we had pint bottles of milk delivered to our door step.
A carved and painted Blue Tit pecking on a hard wood milk bottle turned on my wood lathe.
When you turn the handle the Tit pecks the foil bottle top. This piece is finished in white gesso but it can be ordered in a wooden finish.

My wife Gillian is absolutely delighted with the blue tit, and it now sits proudly on our kitchen window sill. We get a large number of birds in the garden, including blue tits, longtail tits, great tits, woodpeckers, chaffinch, robins, wrens, wagtails etc but, until now, we've never had a blue tit in the house !
